Tramagenna Gallery

Jude Goss of Lucian Stained Glass has been making and restoring stained glass windows and doors for over 25 years.

Jude and her husband Nigel are based just outside Camelford, Cornwall, and opened Tramagenna Gallery in June 2021, it showcases their passion for creating beautiful bespoke pieces of sculpture using wood and glass, leaded stained glass collages, fused glass art, and hangings. The stained glass pieces also incorporate salvaged fragments of original painted church windows which add a unique element to their designs.

In addition to Glass sculptures and window hanging pieces Lucian Stained Glass offer commissions for internal and external windows, so come along to Tramagenna Gallery for a consultation and see what we can offer, we also offer repairs and restoration for any old or damaged panels.

Recent additions to the range of garden sculptures now include the use of local stone and incorporating glass into standing sculptures.

The Gallery also features local artists work which includes Photography and Jewellery capturing the beauty of North Cornwall.

We will be at the Royal Cornwall spring Flower show on the 6th and 7th April 2024 come and see us.

The Gallery will be closed from 5th April until the 7th April 2024 opening again on the 11th April 2024

This window depicts more aspects to do with the village, the Cornish Cross in the Churchyard, Slate and slate mining tools (Bettle and Chisel) flowers for the flower festival and a couple of fairies to depict the story of the C16 St.Teath resident who spoke to Fairies.

I got hold of 2 little old original pieces of stained glass from an old house in the Lake District..(see the third picture) They were damaged and broken but still had the original painted rondel with the name MILL HILL. I have restored and repaired and framed them.

I recently had this original Georgian lead fan light frame from a Georgian house in Frome,Somerset brought into the studio to be repaired and cleaned. Sadly all the original glass was broken as was some of the lead so I had to cut new glass for it all. The complete doorframe had to be rebuilt and I went to the joiners workshop to face putty the glass into the new wooden frame. The new door frame was re fitted into the building last week.

A little repair/restoration job that came in yesterday, the Victorian panel had been bought on eBay and had suffered damage in the post. It still need a final clean before going back to its owner.

Repurposed fire guard with abstract stained glass. Fireguard was bought with outdated embroidered picture in it, frame mended in some cases or just smartened up. Can be used as a fire guard or great just stood on a windowsill.

Little restoration job done this week, 1 piece of glass has the date of 1635, the glass is extremely thin. The panel was in a bit of a sorry state with loose and broken glass but now it will have many more years.
